Luca was born in 1964, in the city of Rome (Italy)
Is a professional publishing designer and illustrator who in 1995 "abandoned everything to relocate in the Province of Ancona" (near of the old "Gothic Line") to seek out a new life.
Luca recalls passion at first sight upon seeing a 1/6th BBI Pearl Harbour US pilot in 2001.
That figurine brought back recollections of the numerous war tales told to him by his grandparents and father (both fought respective in the WWI and the WWII).
However, early forays in costumising and scratchbuilding ended up as disastrous experiments as this a particular discipline was almost completely unknown at the time in Italy; and there was no way of learning from other model makers. The Internet opened the doors to this new world and Luca discovered the forums of The Sixth Division, Sixth Army Group, and many, many others…
Since that momentous day some six years ago, Luca notes that he has become poorer, but decidedly more happy!
